The Cantonese proverb
“A ghost covers one’s eyes” (鬼揞眼 Gwai2 Ngam2 Ngaan5)
means “To fail to see something.”
There are things in life that can’t be seen by the naked eye.
Sometimes’ we look at things differently than others. We fail to notice the truth because we are sometimes blinded by the things that we only want to see.
